If you've ever wondered (like we did) whether anything good could possibly come out from Microsoft, be assured it can. No, we don't speak about Vista here.

The new thing to watch closely is called Photosynth and it's a Seadragon based application (both currently developed by Microsoft). What it does is simply link images together making it possible to move between different shots of a single place made by milions of people.

If you want to play around with Photosynth a bit, you can.
